I recently completed my new staff induction along with two other newly qualified teachers. We received an overview of the school's recent ERO report which highlighted some of the priorities facing the school, particularly the quality of teaching and learning in numeracy. 

This I feel presents a number of challenges to the school and as an nqt I hope to apply some of the practices and guidance for effective pedagogy of the NZ Curriculum's Five Key competencies and the specific guidance for mathematics and statistics

and of course to try and apply a winning mix of personality, enthusiasm and effective ICT to make the whole learning process come to life!
