Differentiate between alt text and image caption

Accessibility is important for a website's use. We've made a number of usability and accessibility improvements, including differentiating between alt text and image captions.

Alt text describes what is displayed in an image so that someone who can't see or opted to not display images knows what the content is.

An image caption may hint more at the context.

When you add an image or edit an image, you can differentiate between the two for improved accessibility to your image content. Alternatively, if you use an image only as background or border and it doesn't have any other meaning than it being decorative, you don't need to give it an alt text or a caption.
